Manufacture

After working on Coral draw designing the goggles, I decided to print out the drawing and cut some wood into the shape I wanted, the reason behind this was that by using the lazer cutter and using plastic, I would have to build up layers in order to get the thickness I wanted. I also needed areas on the side of the goggles to fit the elastic through, the way I created the goggles on my model was quite effective, so I decided to do the same in wood, this will allow me to cut out a central area to fit the curve of my design as well as allowing a lip to feed the elastic instead of glueing extra pieces on to it making the model stronger.

I have some sanding to do on my finished model but its getting there!! 
Tips to remember

• Do not stop machine until finished just in case you can't get it to restart!
• Make sure your files are compressed the Geocam program will crash if they are too big no matter how many times you change the design, its the same as trying to send a big picture via email!
